In Lina Nikolaevė’s “Chubby Cat,” the cat ignores every diet but has mastered the art of rest. Its eyes seem to know more than they reveal, while its gaze calmly observes everything around it — without hurry, without pretence, and with unwavering self-confidence.
It is a celebration of life’s pleasures — soft rugs, lazy Sundays and the right to simply do nothing. The work playfully reminds us that sometimes the greatest wisdom lies in knowing when to stop and enjoy the moment. The viewer is invited to learn from this cat’s philosophy and, if only briefly, allow themselves to feel just as content.
