In Varvara Vasiljeva’s “Old Town,” the living heart of the city pulses through every rooftop, tower and window, each holding a story of its own. Architectural grandeur, centuries-old walls and intimate streets come together within the painting.
The work invites us to lose ourselves between past and present — in an old-town labyrinth where time seems to move to a different rhythm. The viewer is invited to remember their own walks through these streets, or to imagine discovering them for the first time.
